What was tested: durability
Two hinges were mounted on a test door measuring 700 × 600 × 19 mm and weighing 5.0 kg, then cycled open and closed 100,000 times. The hinges showed no loss of serviceability. The procedure follows clause 17.6 of ANSI/BIFMA X5.5-2021; the cycle count was specified by TOUCH. Download durability report (PDF)What was tested: corrosion
A hinge was exposed to a continuous neutral salt fog (50 g/L NaCl solution, 35 °C) for 48 hours, then rated on the 11-step ISO 10289 scale, where 10 means no defects. The hinge was rated Grade 10. Download salt spray report (PDF)Good to know
- Both tests were performed by SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd., Shunde Branch, on the TCH-11400 T-X hinge. Results apply to the samples tested.
